Using your iPad to De-stress with Digital Art

Hi there! Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite ways to unwind and de-stress after a long day - drawing on my iPad!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved to draw. There’s something about the process of putting pen or pencil to paper that is so therapeutic and calming. However, as much as I enjoy traditional drawing, it can be quite messy and time-consuming. That's why I turned to digital drawing (mainly in Procreate), and I’ve never looked back.

Drawing on my iPad allows me to relax and express my creativity in a way that’s easy and convenient. With just a few taps and swipes of my Apple Pencil, I can create intricate and beautiful illustrations that are just as satisfying as traditional drawings. In a way, they are more satisfying since I can create them so much faster!

One of the things I love most about digital drawing is the endless possibilities it offers. With a wide variety of brushes, colors, and effects to choose from, I can create anything from realistic portraits to whimsical cartoon characters. Plus, if I make a mistake or want to try something new, I can simply undo or erase to my heart’s content. Plus, I don't have to worry about carrying around a bunch of art supplies and cleaning up afterwards.

Another great thing about digital drawing is the ability to work on my art anywhere and anytime. I can take my iPad with me on the go and draw during my lunch break or while waiting for an appointment. One of my favorite times to draw is in the evening when the hubby and I are watching TV. Whether it’s a football game, Law & Order, or The Masked Singer (#guiltypleasures), it’s nice to be able to relax and create some fun artwork at the same time.

In today's video, we’re going to walk through how to make a beautiful marbled piece like this.

This one has various shades of purple and I've even gone in and added some glitter effects as well. Click HERE to watch the video where I walk you through all the steps, from adding paint to your canvas, using the different Liquify tools in Procreate, and even adding digital Glitter!

If you're looking for a fun and easy way to relax and de-stress, I highly recommend trying digital drawing on your iPad. It's a fantastic hobby that offers endless creative possibilities and is perfect for anyone who loves to draw. So go ahead and give it a try - you might just discover a new passion!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I would love to see your designs, so please make sure you share them with me on Instagram. Tag me @pawsitivelycreativeart for a chance to be featured in a future video!
